INITIAL DESIGN CONCEPTS

For this list, I wanted each row to represent different stages of design choices that matched a similar style, but within the realm of consistency.

The first five came from applying shapes into this row just to get a feel for how it would look.

The third row was something, completely different with a striking electric type.

The second row continued from my previous idea of orbs and bubbles.

The fourth row adapted the idea of keeping the consistent ‘V’ shape while in a planet.

And finally, there is the lava lamp row, which I wanted to match the vibe idea.

FINAL DECISION

This design came from the idea of the word Vibes and how the word can morph into the design itself.

It started as an inspiration for a lava lamp, keeping up with that 70’s aesthetic. In time, this design did not lean too heavily toward stylistic curves and was closer to the Aerillyo font, often used in the 1960s to 1970s hippie era.

The message being conveyed is that the website is not a business or an educational type of social media hub. It is a space where teenagers can hangout and learn about one another without the pressures of trying to force an agenda onto them. It is a place for teenagers to find out new things about each other through cultural exchange or just basic interactions.
